Information collected from all visitors

We collect no personal information about you when you visit this Web site, unless otherwise stated, unless you choose to provide this information to us. However, we collect and store certain information automatically. What we collect and store automatically is:

• the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the domain from which you access the Internet (i.e. 123.456.789.012) whether yours individually or provided as a proxy by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) the date and time you access our site,

Information Collected by user option

Some pages in this Web site request information for specific purposes related to the DOE-sponsored event for which you are registering. This information may be shared among the entities involved in producing the event, including Conference and Exhibits Management, Inc., Technical Management Services, Inc., and the U.S Department of Energy for the purposes stated on the pages where information is requested. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no information gathered in this manner will be shared with outside parties unless otherwise stated on the pages where such information is requested.

Information Security

• We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
• We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. Credit card transactions are processed through the VeriSign Payment Services payment gateway for online transactions and are governed by Verisign’s privacy policy. Online registration services are provided by Certain Software, Inc. and are covered by Certain Software’s privacy policy.
• Credit card numbers are only used for payment processing, and are never retained for marketing or other purposes.

Comments Sent by E-mail

You may choose to provide us with personal information, as in an e-mail message containing your comments or questions. We use this information to improve our service to you or to respond to your request. There are times when your message is forwarded, as e-mail, to other CEM, Inc. employees who may be better able to help you.
